Poetry Contest



Enter the Niles Public Library District’s Fifteenth Annual by April 21, 2013.

Winning poems will be printed in a booklet and displayed at the library.

First Prize: $75 certificate
Second Prize: $50 certificate
Third Prize: $25 certificate

The contest is open to residents of North Suburban Library System and Chicago. Poems may be
of any length, but handwritten poems not accepted. There is a limit of 6 poems per poet. Each
poem must be on a separate sheet of paper. Email entries may be submitted as one message.
Include your name, age, address, phone number,  name of your school (if applicable)  and library
card number with your entry.

Teens:
To enter you must be between 10 and 18 years old as of April 21, 2013.

Adults:
To enter you must be at least 18 years old.

Submit  your entries to the Reference Desk BY APRIL 21nd or mail your entries to Maryellen Essig or Donna Block c/o Niles Public Library District, 6960 Oakton St., Niles IL, 60714.  OR email your entries with the subject line “Poetry Contest” to messig@nileslibrary.org or dblock@nileslibrary.org.
